Informal Meeting of the Working Party on Structural Measures

At the end of May 2018, the European Commission will publish new legislative proposals for Cohesion Policy „post 2020“. Negotiations between EU member states and the European Parliament on future priorities will immediately start afterwards. The Austrian Presidency is leading the discussions and intends to focus on aspects necessary to smoothly prepare and implement the next generation of programmes and on issues related to substantial simplify the delivery system. Part of this discussion process is a field trip of EU member states representatives to the cross-border-region Vienna-Lower Austria- Slovak Republic-Hungary-Burgenland in order to visit cross-border projects and to analyse specific spatial and legislative challenges in border regions.
