Innovative Enterprise Vienna 2018

“Innovative Enterprise Vienna 2018” (21-22 November) will focus on the requirements of highly innovative European enterprises who want to successfully enter new markets with new products.

Against this background, two main aspects will be addressed: firstly, risk finance for highly innovative enterprises in general, and secondly, the European Innovation Council (EIC) elements of the forthcoming FP9. As for risk finance, debt/guarantee finance solutions as well as equity (venture capital, among other things) and other forms of alternative finance solutions and developments will be considered, including regulatory developments of the Capital Market Union. Concerning the EIC, the conference will contribute to better insight into the requirements of highly innovative start-up and scale-up enterprises with a view to enabling their (disruptive) market entries through FP9 instruments. In parallel, the event will also show finance pitching sessions in practice.

It is a clear target of the event to make the win-win effects of collaboration between European and national levels more visible. The event aims to contribute to a further improvement of innovation funding in Europe (in order to overcome the “European innovation paradox”). Finally, the event will contribute to the “innovation element” of the forthcoming FP9.
